Chatting with gts yesterday about methods of extending your folios..
We were looking at the Hussein Chalayan piece called Ambimorphous AW/2002-2003
(grab here from a Show Studio interview vid..)
Its a backlit still image in the Design Museum show but what was good for us is the proportional relationship between the wall and the viewer. We were wondering if a folio could be virtually displayed on a screen and have pages that turn and open out into motion work etc. Hard to implement but there could be a rapid prototyped group of 4 white figures in a row holding open folios at oversize scale and hard cropped top and bottom so just the folio is mainly featured.
This could be projected over with the digital content.
Tony Oursler (above) is a well-known exponent of this technique of projection over objects in the fine art world and I know some of you experimented with this in l2 last year.
