Leonard Urry had set up Circlorama together with Leon Heppner, a Russian entrepreneur who had lived in London for several years. They acquired a bomb site in Denman Street just behind Piccadilly Circus and constructed a building to house the new 360 degree cinema which they had imported from Russia.
